Rearcross U-14's - Lough Derg 'B'

Rearcross U-14’s secured maximum league points with a comprehensive over Lough Derg ‘B’ at Rearcross FC Grounds on Saturday morning. Patrick Dawson set the hosts on their way with the opener on 12 minutes. It was two nil minutes later when good build up play saw Patrick Dawson bag his second of the morning. Eoin Sheldon got in on the act in the 19th minute with a fine finish to the far corner, Dylan Ryan stretehed it to four with eleven minutes left in the half, Stephen Rochford finished between the posts five minutes later and then Paul Nolan got his name on the scoresheet with after knocking to the net from inside the box. Andy Kinnane was next up with a close range finish to leave Rearcross in the driving seat at the half time whistle. Lough Derg to their credit didn’t throw in the towel and kept battling with the girls contingent more than playing their part with Jasmyne Butler in goals performing very well against the odds. Stephen Rochford grabbed his second of the outing with a headed effort, Brian Nolan was next up with a well worked goal, Dylan Ryan completed his brace after slicing to the net and then Eoin Sheldon not to be outdone was on the mark for the second time. Brian Nolan kept the momentum going with his second of the day before Colm Lenihan wrapped it up late on for the home side.
